It’s a speedy world out there, and the energy is just getting faster. Fast-moving energy, you say? What does that mean?
The easiest way to understand it is by recalling the last major storm you experienced. In California, think of the atmospheric rivers. On the East Coast, picture the 6 to 8 inches of snow falling within just a few hours. It's that sensation of swift atmospheric change occurring outside your control, at a pace faster than you're used to.
When things speed up, our instinct is to hold on tightly. However, that might not be the best response. What if we instead choose to let go, to feel our feet on the ground, to relax into the present moment, and to connect with the tangible in life? Things that anchor us, and remind us to be in the present moment.
Often, it is a simple act that offers immediate stability amidst a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. For a mother, it might be her child's need for care. For some, it may be a walk in nature. For me, it's the scent of plants and flowers. In moments of chaos, when things are whirling and swirling, I create perfume. The act of smelling the materials, adding each drop into a bottle, and connecting to nature through its olfactory expression brings me back to the present.
One easy way to connect to the present moment is through botanical scents. Alive and ethereal, they are fleeting, meant to be experienced in the now, as they will inevitably fade with time.
This year, my teacher and friend, Melissa Halsey, has channeled a spray from Spirit aptly named "In the Moment." I produce this scent on Melissa's behalf, and as I add the drops of carrot seed, ginger, and clary sage, I notice the formula instantly stabilizes me. Designed to help us stay present, this earthy, spicy, grounding formula connects you to Mother Earth, as if growing roots. It is powerful on its own or used in connection with the Mindful Awareness Invocation that was channeled with the spray’s formula.
If you need help staying grounded in the present moment, consider this spray. Designed for use around your aura, on your body, or even as a room spray, it’s an ideal tool for keeping you focused on the now.
Grounded in self-compassion, this spray calls upon the wisdom of the Ascended Master, The Lady Quan Yin, with notes of jasmine, ylang ylang, and rose.
